Opposition parties and 2027 presidential candidates met in Abuja under the G-100 banner to negotiate presenting a single consensus candidate against the ruling APC.
Leading opposition figures; Atiku Abubakar and Peter Obi were absent, though representatives and aides clarified their absence was not a boycott and that both remain aligned with the coalition's objectives.
PRP presidential candidate Donald Duke pledged to support whoever emerges as the unified candidate, emphasizing that defeating the APC requires learning from 2023, where divided opposition votes led to an APC victory despite opposition parties collectively holding a majority of votes.
The six participating parties (ADC, APM, NDC, PDP, PRP, and SDP) agreed to establish 3 central committees and 5 working groups.
