The EKSUMSA Tech Savvy Club has secured an artificial intelligence infrastructure grant worth over ₦1.3 million through the Cohere Labs Catalyst Grant Program.
This grant will provide members with access to advanced AI models and computing resources that would ordinarily be expensive and difficult to obtain as students. With these resources, members can now learn, test, and build practical AI-powered solutions with minimal financial barriers.
The initiative is expected to create new opportunities across education, research, healthcare, and student life. It will also encourage students to explore how artificial intelligence can be applied to solve real problems within and outside the medical community.
The Tech Savvy Club described the grant as the beginning of a larger effort to expose EKSUMSAites to emerging technologies and build a culture of innovation within the association.
All interested students are encouraged to join the club and take part in its upcoming training sessions and projects.
