Manchester City have discovered their eight opponents for the 2026/27 UEFA Champions League league phase following Thursday’s draw in Monaco. The defending champions, Paris Saint-Germain, Barcelona, Sporting CP, Porto, Napoli, Leipzig, AEK Athens and Lens will stand between City and the knockout stages.
Under the new Champions League format, City will play eight league-phase matches, with four at home and four away. The biggest fixtures include clashes with PSG and Barcelona, while the other opponents will provide further tests as City aim to progress to the knockout rounds.
UEFA will confirm the specific fixture dates, kick-off times and home-and-away order by Saturday, August 29. The league phase will run from September 8, 2026, to January 27, 2027, with the top eight teams advancing directly to the Round of 16 and teams finishing 9th to 24th entering the knockout play-offs.
